Why I Love My BreastpumpLaurie
I know, that sounds unusual. How could someone who hates housework love washing breastshields and bottles, among other various parts? True, that never has been fun. I would have been happier if I never would have had to buy a pump. Looking back, I think of the things my pump did for me. It allowed me to give my son only the best start in life. It brought my milk in. Using this machine has allowed me to nourish my son with only mothers milk from the time he was born. I pumped enough to meet, as well as exceed his needs. No formula has passed his lips, thanks to this machine. I was able to maintain a more than adequate supply for almost six months, then my son finally started to show an interest in nursing. He is now almost two years old and still nurses quite happily. If I knew then what I know now, he never would have known what a rubber nipple felt like. He only would have known the real thing. But I can't change the past. If something happened where I had to do it all over again, I would. I love my son dearly, therefore I love my pump. [ back ] |
